Sedimentary rocks
Sedimentary rocks are formed by collections of small to large sediment particles and undergoes compaction, cementation, or evaporation from a doused mineral solution.
Examples are sandstones and shale.
Metamorphic Rocks
Metamorphic rocks are formed deep under ground in Earth where high temperature, great pressure, and chemical reactions cause one type of rock to change into another type of rock.
Examples are quartzite, slate, and marbles.
Igneous Rocks
Igneous rocks are formed deep inside the Earth's crust or surface where the temperatures are high; the magma pushes toward the Earth surface and cools down as it turns into a solid rock.
Examples are granites and basalts.
